MOSCOW: Moscow emergency officials say two explosions hit subway trains, killing at least 26 people.
Emergency Ministry spokeswoman Irina Andrianova says the dead include 14 people who were in the train's second car where the blast occurred. She says the dead also include 11 people who were on the platform at the Lubyanka station in central Moscow. The cause was not immediately clear.
The explosion could have been caused by a suicide bomber, the local news agency quoted a Russian security source as saying.
